Accountability Lab Zimbabwe successfully launched the fourth cycle of the Integrity Icon Campaign in collaboration with the Zimbabwe Anti-Corruption Commission (ZACC) at an energetic and vibrant roadshow held in Mbare, Harare. The launch attracted a large number of citizens from the suburb and surrounding areas, who actively participated in the stage show by nominating civil servants they believe demonstrate integrity.

The stage show provided information about integrity within the civil service, raising awareness of the Integrity Icon campaign. Residents actively participated, responding to questions, offering feedback, and even entertaining the crowd with dance performances.

The roadshow served as an exciting and high-energy platform for resident engagement, allowing them to voice their views and share their perspectives on the critical importance of honest civil servants in ensuring effective governance.

The ZACC leveraged the event to educate citizens about their role in actively contributing to the fight against corruption. Presentations raised awareness of the Commission’s reporting mechanisms and investigative practices, aiming to increase public awareness and trust.

Listeners called in to share feedback on the broadcast and to acknowledge civil servants who have demonstrated exceptional integrity within their communities. The “name and fame” radio segment proved particularly popular, with listeners enthusiastically discussing the contributions of honest civil servants who ensure efficient service delivery and contribute to functional government systems. Callers highlighted how these civil servants’ ethical behavior has made a positive difference in their lives.
