Joram Mahindidze is from Mvurwi, a town in Mashonaland Central Province. Growing up, he realized that young people in his community did not participate in governance processes. Among the reasons he found were a lack of knowledge, few or no platforms accessible to young people, and high levels of poverty, a significant barrier. In the face of these challenges young people perceived participation as a waste of time, as they were always chasing the next meal. In response, Joram founded Dot Connectors, an initiative that seeks to unite young people. DotConnectors aims to equip young leaders to be accountable and lead with integrity.
Joram wants to create a positive change and is passionate about helping people to access the resources they need. He hopes to become the President of Zimbabwe in the future.
